Character’s Full Name:
Nicknames, pseudo names:
Ginger (after the gingerbread man story)
Residing in a friend’s apartment
Ginger seems to be an everyday girl by her looks and actions, usually doing normal activities and avoiding any unwanted attention. She seems to be aloof and laid back for what she has gone through and doesn’t like to communicate with people longer than necessary. Not one to easily trust anyone, she usually seems bored or uninterested during conversations unless something of value is brought up.
Her relationships with people almost seem to be a joke to her and she hardly takes anything seriously. To frighten her would be a hard job, but not completely impossible. She prefers to be out at night, but has no problem stepping into the sunlight during the day. Deep water is something she avoids along with anything that has to do with religion. She is blunt and stubborn with where she stands on matters.
She is known as a Runner, a person who runs important information (that can’t be trusted using the standard ways of transportation) across large distances and gets paid at the destination point. If you need to know anymore, just ask.
Forests, night, sand, sweets, blood/flesh, her job, the occasional friend, hoodies, her cell phone, unique objects, strange folklore, stories, and wouldn’t you know it: casual sex (demons seem to have a thing for that)
Unique or Interesting Traits:
Her eyes seem to resemble water, even though she hates large bodies of it like lakes and oceans.
She is always barefoot
Appears to have sharper than normal teeth
Both of her parents died of old age along with any family she knew of. The subject isn’t touchy for her.
Ginger was born into a normal family with a name that she can’t recall, or a name that her brain has long blocked out to help cope. Her dad was a mailman, which may have sparked her interest in information, and her mom was a business woman. If one were to go into detail about her life they would be surprised that there wasn’t anything interesting happening, just a happy family with no special abilities or amazing talents.
It wasn’t until she turned eighteen did the problems began. She was sick with something humans call cancer, a deadly force. Her dad, being a devoted father and family man, did everything he could to get her treatment, but sometimes battles were lost. When things seemed to be hopeless and her end was near, her dad did something that no one thought he would even try. He delved into the dark arts and black magic, eventually promising things that she couldn’t retell. The ‘Gods’ of Hell were pleased with his dealings and allowed her to live, at a price. She has to feed on human flesh every now and then, the soul of that human going to the Underworld. At first, it was horrifying. But now it is a part of everyday life.
